Lyle London was born into an artistic family, including a mother who was a successful watercolor artist in Orange County. He grew up surrounded by art, but also developed a technical mind. His education in drawing and art also included engineering and physics. What evolved was a very successful career in art built from a mind based in technical engineering. With success in LA’s gallery scene, London moved to Phoenix in 1977, to join the Joy Tash Gallery in Scottsdale. After settling into the desert, he founded Art in Metal and became a prolific creator in gallery-quality metalwork. His commercial and public art can be scene across the Valley and state, nationwide, and some even float the high seas on a few cruise ships. Throughout London’s prolific and successful career as an artist, it has been his combination of the artistic and the technical that have resulted in the achievement of his artistic vision.
