Design Icon – Project

Ibarra Rosano principals Luis Ibarra and Teresa Rosano found fame as young architects and designers in Tucson with their own remodeled home, which won a design award, and they were included in the Desert Modern Architects list. Their first major project was the Garcia residence, an award-winning hillside home of block and glass that dramatically appears in the landscape and also fades away. Designed to have sweeping views of the saguaro forest, it works with the desert environment and exposes the residence to it. Ibarra Rosano Design Architects is now established, experienced and even teaching the next generation. But their youthful opportunity re-emerged with a new project for their first client. The clients, now Schneider, wanted a new program. More urban, more connected for their family and a more convenient lifestyle for their engaged needs. Casa Schneider was born.
